Rines and Carol are available for prayer and counseling here at The Rock. As counseling pastor, Rines daily listens to the broken, heart-felt facts of people's lives through the counseling center. Nevertheless, laughter and joy are certainly vital ingredients of his day.

Rines also serves as benevolence administrator and altar worker's trainer. He is an instructor in the R.E.L.E.A.S.E. School of Ministry. Carol is constantly on her knees praying as she serves as an intercessor in the house. She manages the "Basic Sign Language" class as well as teaches a Bible Study for women in outreach and a KinderChurch class at The Rock. Both Rines and Carol Varrette served in the Armed Forces and said "I do" on the shores of Okinawa, Japan. Their youngest son is a teenager.
